Two self-contained suites with separate private entrances provide an intimate experience for a couple or, when both suites are rented together, the right mix of privacy and proximity for friends. There are also sleeper sofas on both levels to accommodate additional guests.

The 1,000 square foot suites (the lower suite is slightly larger with a full size kitchen) boast every comfort, including separate living rooms, air-conditioned bedrooms with King sized beds, spacious bathrooms, ceiling fans, fully appointed kitchens and outdoor grills. Each has a private terrace and hot tub with breathtaking views across Cinnamon, Francis and Maho Bays, toward Jost Van Dyke and Tortola Gatehouse embodies casual elegance in a whimsical island atmosphere. Stone from all three U.S. Virgin Islands, coral tile from the Yucatan, commissioned stained-glass windows, iron gates, antique bricks and exotic Brazilian hardwoods combine to create an exquisite accommodation, in form reminiscent of the 18th Century Danish sugar mill ruins that still dot the island.

The beach at Peter Bay is as pristine as any along St. John's North Shore. Because it is private, it has the added advantage of having a truly untouched, "virgin" quality. If you prefer a more "full service" experience, Gatehouse is nestled between two of the world's most famous beach destinations, Trunk Bay to the west and Cinnamon Bay to the east.
